Our Homeless Ministry began in 1994 when God spoke to an ex-convict working in a machine shop and told him to go and feed the homeless. That night, Emil Pocisk and his wife Sandy made a few sandwiches and drove around Cleveland looking for someone in need. Out of that calling grew a team of over 40 dedicated volunteers who faithfully serve hot meals and the love of Jesus Christ to the homeless in Cleveland every Saturday, rain or shine, sleet or heat…

I Did Not Feel Like An Inmate

By God’s grace, True Freedom sponsored the first ever “Yard Day” event at Grafton Correctional Institution. We performed an open-air service right in the middle of the prison compound, brought in four outside softball teams (two comprised completely of Amish men) to play in a softball tournament against two prison teams, and conducted a cookout for the entire population of 1400 prisoners. It was an amazing day!…

Back Inside

Back Inside

Since COVID struck last spring, True Freedom has used mass mailings and leveraged technology to reach our clients across the state. Then, on Monday, March 15, 2021, we were back in prison for the first time in a year. Praise the Lord for opening this door! Pastor Mark Stradiot was at Trumbull Correctional Camp facilitating a Christian-based Character Development Class. It was small, but it was good. One man even prayed to receive Christ. Lord willing, Mark will teach this class every Monday at 1:30 p.m. Also in March, five men from True Freedom Ministries were trained and approved to go back into Grafton Reintegration Center and Grafton Correctional Institution. The group included Michael Swiger, David Wessel, Mark Stradiot, Bill Holko, and Don Talladino. We hope to get back into Grafton in the near future. Chaplains Dr. J.D. Smith and Mark Stradiot are also in the process of reentering the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center. We are so grateful that God is granting True Freedom in-person access to our mission field again. We have really missed serving our clients in this way. Please pray that our efforts would be fruitful, bringing much glory to His Name
