End of Year Giving
/The Chaplain Gave Me His Bible!
By Chaplain J.D. Smith
I met a young man who had stolen a car with his buddy. During the chase from the police, the boys crashed. One of the boys died at the scene. The other needed surgery. This young man showed me his scar. He was very depressed. By God’s grace, I shared the gospel with him and led him to the Lord. I gave him my Bible and asked him to read the chapter in Proverbs corresponding to the date on the calendar. He was so excited about this gift that he told the other boys, “The chaplain gave me his Bible!”
Two days later I went back to see him, and he was a different person.
He had a smile on his face, hope in his heart, and he talked about what he read in Proverbs.
We prayed together and continued to fellowship!
Praise the Lord!!!
