Healing and Hope

Maxine Lowe, True Freedom’s Director of Reentry Employment/Human Resources, currently facilitates a workforce development class at the Northeast Reintegration Center (NERC). Ladies are learning how to build resumes, apply for jobs, interview, dress for interviews, and resolve conflicts on the job. From God’s Word clients glean wisdom for character development, self-awareness, and following Jesus in a broken world. Students have been receptive to God’s Word, desiring to serve Him despite painful circumstances. Meetings are tearful and redemptive. What a gift to be God’s vessel of healing to these precious souls. True Freedom looks forward to supporting these ladies upon their release from NERC.

Inmate Stacy Collmar states: “Maxine, you’re now my family. True Freedom Ministries has helped me so much with my reentry plan, but the inner work with God is going to keep me off drugs and keep me on the right path.”

Inmate Talesha Andrews shares: “I didn’t know this class was going to make me look in the mirror. I know I have a lot of work to do but with God, all things are possible, and I’m going to fight with everything in me to succeed the way God wants me to.”

True Freedom also extends its workforce development services to residents of Y-Haven-- a recovery center, shelter for the homeless, and halfway house. Maxine Lowe’s recent meeting with clients there quickly turned into a time of praising God for His faithful leading. Even through trials, tribulation, and pain, God is very present. We praise God for the privilege of bringing His hope to so many.
