City Mission Study

On July 6th, True Freedom’s David Sudnick and Rev. Jimmie Smith began leading a Bible study together at The City Mission Crossroads Men’s Crisis Center. Sudnick, a former City Mission volunteer teacher, has faithfully taught Bible studies for 13 years at the Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry Homeless Men’s Shelter. Rev. Smith, senior pastor of Lake Galilee Baptist Church, prison minister at Lorain Correctional Institute, and Boys’ Chaplain at the Juvenile Justice Center, was able to combine the City Mission study with one he was already facilitating for his church via teleconferencing audio bridge (due to COVID). These gifted servants are leading the men at the Mission, verse by verse, through the beautiful Gospel of John. Currently, 25-30 enthusiastic students attend the class each week, using new, giant print Bibles provided by True Freedom. After the study, some stay to discuss their situations and receive individual prayer, encouragement, and counsel. Praise God for this opportunity to share His hope. Please pray for these men.

Would you prayerfully consider making a monthly or one-time gift to help us meet and fulfill the mission to which God has called us?
