A Big Help & Blessing to Me - By Jimmy Collins

I was incarcerated for 27 years and 27 days. I became active with True Freedom Ministries when Mike Swiger started a faith-based mentorship program in the Grafton Correctional Institution in 2008. It was a blessing to be part of that program, to see someone like myself, who had gone home and broken through barriers that seemed impossible. This was a big encouragement for guys like me. I am still in contact with the mentor that Mike assigned to me all those years ago.

True Freedom Ministries was there to encourage all of us that success was obtainable and only measured by our faith in Jesus Christ. I continued to participate in all TFM programs and began to facilitate their computer classes at the Grafton Reintegration Center. This helped strengthen my knowledge of computers and programs. Much needed for a guy incarcerated for such a long time. I would encourage anyone reading this to become active in learning who Jesus Christ is. Through Him all things are possible! I’m a living example of this. If you remain steadfast in your faith in Him, He will be your champion and advocate!

A Big Help & Blessing to Me By Jimmy Collinsd Prospera Reentry (formerly called True Freedom Enterprises) was there to help. They gave me access to clothing, guidance, encouragement, and resources that were much needed, especially for someone like me, who had done a substantial amount of time. It helps the reentry process to not have to be concerned with these things right away. I have been home for two months now, and True Freedom and Prospera Reentry are still supporting my reentry, helping me update my resume and submitting it to potential employers, connecting me with resources, offering spiritual guidance, and much more. True Freedom and Prospera Reentry have been a big help and blessing to me. God Bless
