True Freedom and Prospera Continued to Grow in 2024!

By every metric used in prison ministry and reentry, 2024 was a remarkable year of growth for both True Freedom Ministries and Prospera Reentry. Through the faithful dedication of our staff and volunteers, we conducted over 2,000 services, classes, and programs. Total attendance within the prison system eclipsed 45,000 for the first time—an increase of over 5,000 people from the previous year!

The hard work of investing in lives for eternity materializes in the weekly discipleship of men and women. Transformative relationships are built through classes like Alpha, Stepping Up, Reformers Unanimous, Celebrate Recovery and our 40-week Character Development program all across the state. Additionally, through the generous support of the TMG Cares Foundation, we conducted a series of large-scale events at nine prisons, featuring Nashville recording artist Tyler Conti. At each facility we provided a cookout for the entire prison population and staff, followed by a 90-minute concert and ending with a gospel presentation and altar call. Over 2000 prisoners attended with 466 making professions of faith in Jesus Christ.

Through partnerships with local churches, we sponsored basketball and softball events, using sports as a vehicle to draw unbelievers to hear the gospel. We conducted father-daughter dances, providing inmates with bowties. We also purchased necklaces for men to give their daughters—a reminder that each one is loved, not only by an earthly parent but also by a heavenly Father.  A major highlight this year was a new reunification event, bringing 20 families together for a day-long retreat. Starting with games, face painting, and fun, the afternoon culminated in a reconciliation service. Each man asked his children’s forgiveness for being absent from their lives through incarceration. Then inmates washed their children’s feet as a pledge to humbly serve them.

Prospera Reentry continues to expand its innovative program, enabling incarcerated individuals to earn between $10.70 and $17.50 an hour, while most inmates working behind prison walls make an average of less than 0.20 per hour. Clients in our pre-release, work-release program can leave prison with up to $50,000, well-equipped to pay fines and child support, purchase vehicles, and otherwise successfully reenter society. In 2025 we plan to add additional runs at the Grafton Reintegration Center. Women at the Northeast Reintegration Center will have the opportunity to work at the II Venetian and the Marriott Key Tower. By God’s grace, we plan to double our scope over the next three years.

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40

Our homeless ministry continues to reach out to the most broken and marginalized individuals in our society. In 2024 we were privileged to serve nearly 20,000 hot meals in the inner-city of Cleveland. Additionally, we distributed almost 40,000 garments and toiletry items to those in need.

We want to do more, and, with your prayers and support, we will. On behalf of the Boards of Directors of both organizations, our staff and volunteers, thank you for sharing in the work that we do. We are privileged to be your missionaries as God changes lives, saves souls, and equips hands for eternity.

Thank you for your partnership with us. True Freedom Ministries is having a huge impact in the lives of so many inmates. Would you prayerfully consider making a one-time end of the year or monthly donation to support True Freedom Ministries for 2025?
