Juvenile Ministry Update

On Easter Sunday Chaplain Mark Stradiot went to the Cuyahoga Juvenile Justice Center to declare that Jesus is alive! Over 150 bags of Skittles and Easter handouts were distributed to youth and staff at the facility. Mark shared from 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. ”

Also, for the first time since COVID, on April 21, Chaplain Stradiot was back at Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility in Massillon, OH. He was retrained and fingerprinted for ongoing ministry there. Mark shared the gospel with a group of boys from one of the facility’s 8 units and plans to continue with Christian-based character development lessons. The program will run 6 weeks and will end with a celebration for all attendees. A certificate will be presented to those who finish successfully. Hopefully, Mark can repeat this process in each of Indian River’s 8 units. Please pray for Chaplain Stradiot and for the boys.
