"Ready to Pray" By Chaplain Jimmie Smith

I recently met a 16-year-old at the Juvenile Justice Center. He was sent there for committing rape and murder. His attorney told him he was facing 30 years in prison. He told me he was afraid of what would happen to him in prison. I witnessed to him about Christ. He told me Jesus was not the Christ. After I shared three New Testament verses declaring the deity of Christ, he was ready to pray and invite Jesus into his heart (Romans 10:9,10,13).
I gave him a new NIV Bible, and my heart is rejoicing, and broken.
