Did I Just See Jesus on the Streets?

But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?” 1 John 3:17 (ESV).

Many in today’s world think only about themselves; we live in the “me” generation. God’s Word calls us to a different standard. We are to be Christ’s hands and feet to a dying and broken world. One of the ways we do this is with our Homeless Ministry.

Sandy Pocisk leads dozens of volunteers from churches all across Northeast Ohio every Saturday (rain, snow or shine), to feed and minister to the homeless on the streets of Cleveland. Each week we distribute hot soup, coffee, a sandwich, toiletries, clothes and the Gospel message.

Two thousand years ago, people expected to find the Messiah among the rich and powerful. However, they found Jesus among the poor, the needy and the sinners. In the spirit of Jesus Christ, True Freedom Ministries goes to the lost sheep of Cleveland. Meeting them where they live, we offer them the Bread of Life. Please pray for Sandy, her team and for the homeless.
