True Freedom Ministries and the Women's Prison Ministry Partners with The Alpha Course

The Alpha Course invited True Freedom Ministries to partner with them in bringing solid biblical teaching to Northeast Ohio to their Women's Prison Ministry.

In August 2012 we launched our first Alpha Course at the Northeast Pre-Release Center, in Cleveland to an enthusiastic group of female inmates. Each week Rae Borders, (pictured at right with her team of volunteers), our Director of Women’s Ministries, leads a team of dedicated volunteers to facilitate this powerful new ministry.

The Alpha Course is a practical introduction to the Christian faith that utilizes a series of high-quality videos and workbooks, followed by small group discussions. The Course has been presented to over 16 million people worldwide in over 83 languages.

“Alpha is more than just another program,” says Nick Gumbel, Senior Pastor and course presenter, “It’s about people coming to Jesus Christ, being filled with the Spirit, and getting excited about Jesus... ”

The initial response has been overwhelming, and we are excited about planting this life-changing ministry in prisons all across Ohio.
